Frequently asked questions

How do I make sure my referral is tracked correctly? ▼
Sign up for a referral account and share your unique link. When someone clicks your link and enquires, the referral is automatically tracked to your account. You can see all your referrals in your personal dashboard at any time.
When exactly do I receive my reward? ▼
Once your referred client has been with HOMF for 3 full months, we'll apply your reward. For business referrals, this will appear as a credit on your next invoice. For self-assessment referrals, we'll arrange payment of your £20 directly.
What counts as a qualifying business referral? ▼
Any new client who signs up to an ongoing HOMF accounting subscription — including sole traders, limited companies and partnerships. One-off work without a subscription doesn't qualify for the free month reward.
Can I refer multiple people? ▼
Yes — there's no cap. Every qualifying referral earns a reward. You can refer as many businesses and self-assessment clients as you like, and each one earns you a separate reward.
What if I leave HOMF before the 3 months is up? ▼
To receive a referral reward, you must be an active HOMF client when the reward is issued. If you leave before the 3-month qualifying period is complete, the reward will not be applied.
Can I refer someone who has used HOMF before? ▼
No — referral rewards apply to brand new clients only. Anyone who has previously been a HOMF client does not qualify for the referral scheme.
